I'm not sure I've seen a lot of Calvin Lockhart's work (aside from his late career roles in Predator 2 and Wild at Heart), but his performance here is so enthusiastic that I certainly feel a need to see more. Without it, the film would be kind of lifeless, and I'd be more inclined to complain about the somewhat too-deliberately tricky plot (particularly for a film that so explicitly asks the audience to try to solve the mystery). But, as it is, basically all I remember about the film is Lockhart's performance, so I have very little to complain about.
