I remember reading a bit about The Foot Fist Way, but I sort of lumped it in with Balls of Fury as being a sports comedy starring a relative unknown that I was pretty much never going to see. Apparently, the relative unknown from Foot Fist Way is well connected, as he's now appearing in Pineapple Express, Tropic Thunder, Drillbit Taylor, Hot Rod, etc. as well as getting his own sitcom on HBO. Maybe this would be funnier with some context, but it was pretty much just thirty minutes of aggressive redneck humour. I mean, I don't mind making fun of rednecks, but it's still quite a lot to ask of the viewer to put up with such a protagonist for thirty minutes a week.
